Yus, it's another club. This one is intended to be a collective of Furc ports available on dA, with the following goals:

• To collect all the Furcadia ports on dA in one nice, centralised location so interested parties can admire them ^^


• Compose a list of Furcadia port artists on dA, particularly so people looking for a portrait commission can find an artist easily.

This is NOT a place to steal portraits for your own use! While some ports here are for public use (i.e., the ones which say so!), most of them were made for the artist's personal use, or as commissions. Respect the artist's copyright - if you want to use a port, ask permission, or commission one yourself!

RULES: Very simple; obey the dA rules, respect the artists' copyrights, and if you're a member, display our icon in your journal. Rules may change later, but I doubt we'll have too much to worry about.

JOINING: We welcome anybody who'd like to be a member, whether you make portraits yourself or are just an admirer of other peoples' ports. If you'd like to be a member, just send me a note (not a comment on the journal or userpage!) asking to join.

MEMBERS' WORKS: So, it seems my info about clubs not faving member work was misguided (I swear there was a news post, but there's no mention of it in the rules now and I can't find it in any archives). Which is a relief to me, because it means I can recognise members' work without having to upload them all into the damn gallery! So, now, my plan is to flush out most of the work in the gallery, go back to having them faved instead, and leave only the deviations which are collections, examples for commissions, or free-for-general-use portraits.

The theory here is to keep the favourites list as I wanted it - a collection of all the ports I can find - and use the gallery space as a "lookup" for artists who produce portraits, especially for those wanting to commission one. Hopefully, it will also discourage piracy and make people more inclined to fave the real deviation rather than the club one, as well as making things easier to maintain. So, members, if you don't already have your own commission ad or portrait dump in the gallery, please feel free to send one over! ^-^
